Cannabis legalization, in one form or another, was on the ballot in 9 different US states in the recent elections.
The US states with marijuana legislation and cannabis legalization on the ballot included:
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- California
- Florida
- Maine
- Montana
- Massachusetts
- North Dakota
- Nevada

Several states were looking to make the change from medicinal to recreational use, California and Nevada among them, and Florida’s medical ballot initiative was only 5 pages long – something that should lead to tons of legal wrangling in order to work out the details and actually get more dispensaries online in the state.
Canadian police have been cracking down on dispensaries all over Canada, even though Trudeau ran on a pro-marijuana platform when he was elected.
Canada’s PM Trudeau enforcing the law as most dispensaries are illegal – – This is on the heels of a Government report that was recently released regarding the Task Force on cannabis legalization and regulation that will happen in the next couple of years.
Meanwhile, cannabis in Canada is still in prohibition as dispensaries are opening, Trudeau still wants municipalities to enforce the law.
