So Gizmodo publishes today, about a potential Square and Apple Pay match up; Square will enable Apple Pay for an update next year.
The article mentions some method of doing this without having to replace the Square readers — but the reality is that Square readers, unless they are really new – are not EMV compliant (or rather I don’t think they’ve replaced all the readers already) so it’s probably easier and more cost effective to scale it into the new setup than to have a double replacement whammy that someone’s got to pay for…
