Here we go again — those pushing bandwidth through their pipes want tiered usage, essentially allowing them to create an internet ghetto for those that cannot afford to play with big competitors with big dollars.  As a capitalist, I don’t think we should tell our businesses how to run, but as a human citizen, access to the internet is something akin to literacy for this century – those that don’t have it don’t learn, don’t have access to the information that those who do have, and the disparities go so far beyond the economics of the situation that it’s seeming to be an all or nothing deal.   It’s unfortunate that we’re moving more and more towards reality being identical to a John Galt society.
