# Not really news at all, unless you’re in LA

I lived in LA for seven years before moving up to the Bay, and I have to say that the Counter is one of THE BEST burger places around.  The sheer number of choices and all the amazing toppings (not to mention the sweet potato fries and thin, oh-so-thin, onion rings) really made me hungry when I saw the [LA Times article about the spinoff called Built](http://www.latimes.com/features/food/dailydish/la-dd-the-counter-burger-spinoff-to-open-near-usc-campus-20130306,0,525363.story).

Fewer options, but the best selling ones.  Slightly different ordering format, but it looks to be a good one.

I’ve managed to make myself really hungry now, darnit.
